1978 Sunroof Transporter

đŸ„‚ â€œA Rare Champagne Project, Waiting to Be Popped!” đŸ„‚

✹ 1978 VW Transporter Champagne Edition – Rare Sunroof Model âœš

Here’s a special find for the true VW enthusiast: a 1978 VW Transporter Champagne Edition, built for the U.S. market and featuring the desirable factory sunroof opening. These Champagne Editions were produced in limited numbers, making them an uncommon gem today.

🚌 Body & Condition
The body is straight and solid, ready for restoration. Please note, this bus is being sold strictly â€œas is.” What you see is what you get: the white pop-top pictured is not attached â€” it was simply being stored there. This Transporter is a shell only (no engine or transmission), making it a blank canvas for your next big VW project.

🔧 Backstory
After one of our rental fleet buses was totaled, we tracked down this Champagne Edition with plans to convert it into a campervan, harvesting the interior from our crashed bus. Life got busy, and the project never happened — so here it sits, waiting for its next caretaker.

📜 Paperwork
There is no title for this bus. We never received one, and it’s likely no longer in the system. That said, for those who know the ropes, a title can be obtained through the usual channels.

💡 Opportunity
Whether you’re looking for a restoration candidate, a rare sunroof donor, or the foundation for a custom camper build, this Champagne Edition Transporter offers a rare chance to start with solid bones and unique heritage.

đŸšđŸ’« Pop the top on this Champagne Edition and let the next adventure begin!

💰 Asking: $2,000

đŸŽ¶đŸš Van Morrison đŸšđŸŽ¶

No transmission and no engine. If you’ve crashed your van and need a donor Van Morrison is waiting.

A 1984 transporter with a good interior and straight body which obviously needs the spa treatment.

💰 Asking: $2,000

💙🚐 Blu Max Update đŸšđŸ’™

We’re sad to share that our beloved Blu Max was in a crash. While his adventures on the open road have come to an end, he’s not entirely out of the story.

The good news: his body can still be straightened.
The reality: his engine, transmission, interior, and Riviera pop-top have already been harvested.

That said, Blu Max still has plenty to give. 🌟 He could be parted out, with windows and many other useful pieces available for restoration projects or collectors.

It’s never easy to say goodbye, but we know parts of Blu Max will live on in other vans — and that feels like a road trip that keeps rolling. đŸ’«

If you’re interested in parts or giving a piece of Blu Max a new home, let us know.

💰 Asking: $1,000

🧡🚐 Taos Update đŸšđŸ§Ą

We’re a little heartbroken to share that our beloved 1977 Bay Window bus, Taos, was in a crash too. While his own road trips have come to an end, his story isn’t over—he still has plenty of life to share with the VW community.

✹ The Good News: Taos’ body can still be straightened, and his classic Westfalia pop-top is intact—perfect for harvesting and installing on another camper or transporter (these alone often fetch $1,500+).

⚙ The Reality: His engine, transmission, and interior have already been harvested.

🌟 What Remains: Taos is still full of treasures—windows, dash, body parts, and other useful pieces that can breathe new life into restoration projects or round out a collector’s stash.

It’s never easy to say goodbye, but knowing that pieces of Taos will live on in other adventures feels like a road trip that keeps on rolling. đŸ’«

💰 Asking: $1,800

If you’d like to give a piece of Taos a new home—or help him carry on through your own VW project—reach out and let us know.

Winnebago Brave — Not for the Faint of Heart

Got vision? Got tools? Got a strong immune system? Then this one’s for you.

We’re selling our Winnebago Brave motorhome—a vintage beauty that’s been completely gutted on the inside. We bought it as a restoration project with big dreams
and then parked it. And parked it. And
 well, you get the idea.

The reality:

  • It leaks like a gossip at a family reunion.

  • The body has seen better decades (yes, decades).

  • Water damage? Oh yeah. Bring your hazmat suit and imagination.

  • The interior? A blank canvas (read: "totally stripped").

BUT—it’s not all doom and duct tape:

  • The engine runs (Dodge 440).

  • The generator works.

  • The transmission is solid.

  • And the tires are in good shape, ready to roll
 somewhere.

This is not your average fixer-upper. This is a character-building experience on wheels. Perfect for someone with grit, guts, and a love for lost causes with good potential.

💰 Asking: $500. Make us an offer. Bonus points if you show up with a trailer.
